Biography

I am currently a Graphics Multimedia Architect working for Intel Corporation at Santa Clara, CA, USA. I am responsible for research, modeling, prototyping, and defining software/hardware architecture of video and image processing technologies.

I obtained the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, working with The Charles William Harrison Distinguished Professor Edward J. Delp in the Video and Image Processing Laboratory (VIPER) as a Graduate Research Assistant. My research interests include Image Processing and Video Coding, Computer Vision and Object Recognition, Information and Multimedia Security.

I obtained the B.S. degree in Telecommunication Engineering (with Highest Distinction) and the M.S. degree in Information and Telecommunication Engineering (with Highest Distinction) from Xidian University, Xi'an, China. I was a Graduate Fellow and Research Assistant of the National Key Laboratory of Integrated Service Networks (ISN), Xi'an, China.

I have experience in Image Processing and Video Coding (5+ years), Computer Vision and Object Recognition (4+ years), Information and Multimedia Security (3+ years). I did several Research Interns with the Future Network Research Group of the Innovation Laboratory in Futurewei Research Center (Santa Clara, CA), the Image Technology Research Group of the Advanced Technology Group in Dolby Laboratories (Sunnyvale, CA), and the Video Coding Research Group of the Advanced Video and Display Technology Department in Sharp Labs of America (Camas, WA). Two U.S. Patents have been applied based on my intern work.
